ABACUS's many entrepreneurship programs provides students with the oppurtunity to professionally conceive, develop and pitch their startup idea in a free, functional incubated space.
Incubator
Aspiring student entrepreneurs will work in CoCoon, Hong Kong's premier coworking hub that has raised over $240 million HKD for local startups.
Mentorship
"Pitch Day" rewards winning team Startup Funding Prize
Coach mentors are bilingual business-graduates of top world universities. Some already have experience as real entrepreneurs, and are CEOs of their own startup firms.
.Coach Mentors advise, mentor, and develop students' dream ideas, using their unique role not only to educate but to inspire.
The student startup team that has the best pitch during "Pitch Day" as judged by a panel of professional judges are awarded a $6000 HKD cash prize and sponsored CoCoon work memberships.
Exclusive Guest Speaker Seminars
All students of ABACUS Startup Academy are invited to exclusive keynote seminars, interactive Q&A discusion seminars, and sharing sessions given by successful entrepreneurs & industry experts from Hong Kong and Asia.
Essential Skills Required to Suceed in Today's World
Leadership, strong character building, creativity, and communication are just a few of the essential characteristics needed to suceed in today's competitive landscape. Foundational knowledge of economics and business are also important skills that are learnt and developed at ABACUS.
Bilingual Angle
The program is fully bilingual with English and Cantonese being the spoken medium of the program. In the 21st century, bilingualism is an important competitive skill to acquire.
